Super Bowl XLVIII: For Whom the Bowl Tolls

Super Bowl XLVIII has the potential to go down as one of the greatest football games in NFL history.  Not only are the two competing teams the perfect combination of a high-powered offense and stifling defense, but there also may never have been a game with such strong implications for the competitors involved (i.e. Russell Wilson and Peyton Manning).  There have been amazing Super Bowls and amazing Super Bowl plays (James Harrison’s 100-yard interception return in and Santonio Holmes amazing catch in Super Bowl XLIII just to name my favorites), but plays will be just that, plays.  Indeed some will be magnificent and everlasting, yet one great play hardly defines a great player.  Plays make games, but games make players.
