Takeaways from Thunder v. Heat

This game had been highly anticipated and for good reason. Both teams are serious title contenders, but mainly for the fact that the two best current players in the world were going head to head. Regardless of the score a match between the Heat and the Thunder rarely disappoints. Durant managed to pu up 33 points on his way to 12 consecutive games with 30+.

The League has experience its fair share of highs and lows in the first half of an interesting season. All-Star balloting has finished up and fans have spoken. Like most sports industries the fans have a say in the All Star team and for God’s sake they should! This is America, where democracy and capitalism rule. We fought off Redcoats for this right? However, Jeremy Lin was the 4th highest backcourt votes receiver in the West, ahead of his teammate James Harden. Kobe also topped the list of All Star guards from the West, behind only Steph Curry. Tip of the hat to those players to win over the hearts and minds of NBA fans while playing poorly or not playing at all.
